HELEN TROP-ZELL, MD
Dr. Trop-Zell demonstrated her commitment to improving the medical condition of others during her 30 years of private practice in Scottsdale, AZ.
During much of that time she also participated in and sometimes ran volunteer medical missions in places like Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya and Guyana.
In 2016, after closing her clinical practice, Helen received The East African Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, a postgraduate certificate awarded by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine after a three-month tour in Uganda and Tanzania. She continues to seek further educational opportunities related to public and global health.
Dr. Trop-Zell received her MD degree from Emory University School of Medicine. She also earned an MS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland and a BA in Math from Carnegie-Mellon University.
She has served on the Boards of Directors of several organizations committed to humanitarian relief, both locally and internationally.
Her unique education, broad medical experience, passion for travel abroad, history of supporting humanitarian causes and first-hand knowledge of the locations and populations we intend to serve contribute to a perspective that is of tremendous value to GTN’s Board.
