STEVEN R. POLCYN

Steve is a senior investor relations and corporate communications executive with significant international broad-based health care and high technology industry experience developing, implementing and managing strategic investor relations and IPOs, corporate communications, media relations, employee communications, corporate image, and branding programs.
 

He has extensive experience heading investor relations and corporate communications programs for such companies as Chordiant Software, a leading provider of Customer Experience software and services for retail financial services, insurance/healthcare, telecommunications, and consumer direct global business-to-consumer companies; ADAC Laboratories, a world market share leader in nuclear medicine and radiation therapy planning systems and leading supplier of radiology information and image management systems; ReadRite Corporation, maker of thin film inductive and magnetoresistive recording heads for computer disk drives; as well as Pacific Gas and Electric, Abbott Laboratories and American Hospital Supply Corporation.

Steve is co-founder of the RotaCare Pittsburg Free Medical Clinic at St. Vincent de Paul and served as the Chair of its Advisory Council from 2010–2016. Since opening in 2011, the all-volunteer clinic has seen over 13,000 uninsured and underserved adults with acute or chronic medical conditions.

He is also a co-founder of the RotaCare Richmond Free Medical Clinic, and he served on its Advisory Council from 2011–2016. That clinic has seen over 8,000 uninsured patients since it opened in 2013.

Since 2011, Steve has served as a member of the Board of Directors of RotaCare Bay Area, which operates free medical clinics throughout the San Francisco Bay Area providing health care for the uninsured, and is its immediate past Board President. 

He is a member of the Rotary Club of Alamo and served two terms as its President. He served from 2013-2018 as the Rotary District 5160 Foundation Grants Chair and was previously the District’s Global Grants Chair. He currently serves on the Rotary District 5160 International Services Committee and its Grants Review Panel.  In addition, he is an Eagle Scout and a Life Member of the National Eagle Scout Association and the International Fellowship of Scouting Rotarians. He is also a member of the National Investor Relations Institute and the Public Relations Society of America.
